I WANNABE

For the past 29 years, I have been a stay at home mom I was a
homeschool Mom. This past month I became a woman with severe
Empty Nest Syndrome.
I am working through this now. It will take time.

I wannabe a political spokesperson, but no one wants to hear about politics,
so I have just had to quit trying to do that!

I wannabe a motivator and spokes woman for
Stay at Home Christian Homeschooling Moms.
But I wanna stay home so how can I be a spokesperson?

I wannabe a spokes person for quality beef in the supermarket.
This is one of my greatest rants. I get really upset when I buy beef that
bounces off my teeth, and never chews up. No wonder so many teen age girls
hate beef I hate some of the junk I get in the supermarket too!
If we could get back to the basics and raise good ole Angus beef, we
would have a product people would want to eat! But alas no one seems
to care that their product is inferior. Sadly, the bottom line for them is
if they can turn a buck, and one day soon if the cattle man does not
get back to raising beef that is palatable, he will not be making that
big buck. Today's cattle man has forgotten the importance of quality,
and he is not leaving his children a legacy.
I wish there were a way to get the cattlemen of today to
see the advantages of raising good meat. But alas I cannot
I wannabe be the care taker of small livestock.
And I have always wanted to be the owner of a draft horse.

I want to see more people able to afford a small piece of land where
they can raise their own beef, poultry and lamb and pork. I see a
remnant of America looking into getting back to the basics. Hopefully
we will be able to hold on to enough of our American freedom to see
this happen for many.

Since I know what I WANNABE, I ask for your prayers to get there soon!
Right now we have our land, and in the next few
years we will be building our small farm into a productive livestock
operation. It is our goal to be debt free and self sufficient by the
time Terry retires from Yellow Freight. Then we can settle back and
share our farm with family (especially the grand kids) and friends
and maybe even with the public.
And we want to have a great marketable product ready to sell in just a few years.

OUR PLAN:

Terry has always wanted to run a Bed and breakfast, and we thought
maybe God was opening some doors for that to happen. He has not said
yes, but He has also not shut the door yet. We thought maybe we would
be selling this farm, and moving to a small town on the Missouri river
where a 1837 Hotel sits just waiting for us to find the money to buy it.
But so far we have not run into any loose change, and have not won the
Lottery. So the hotel sits waiting for us.. Maybe He will direct us
to make this little farm into a Bed and Breakfast. One never knows!
It would be nice if we could do both.

The other thing I would like to do is find our roots. I have been
working on this project on and off for about 15 years, and have come up
pretty much about where I started off, but it has been fun searching.
I intend to set up a website of our heritage soon. So far I am just
working on my parent's page (see the link under my dad's picture on the home page for their page)

But the main thing I wanna do is the most important thing,
I wannabe what God wants me to be. I wannabe available to do His work,
and help advance His Kingdom. In this area, I covet your prayers.
